Sony Music Timeline – Alex Fowkes

Using just CNC cut vinyl as the sole medium, 54 columns measuring over 2 meters tall cover feature nearly 1000 of Sony Music’s signed artists from 1887 to the present day.” – Rob Antill.

We picked up this video this morning from a tweet by @andygerman83 and were amazed by what we saw. We love it when creative work like this is captured, and captured well. It’s a thrill to see how things like this are created and shows the designer(s) process. It goes to show that with hard work and the right amount of time, beautiful things can be achieved. As music, design and typography fans we take out hats off to Alex Fowkes and the team for this one.
