Towards the end of 2012 UPP (University Partnership Programme) approached us to help with their brand.
UPP design and develop high quality, affordable, student accommodation and provide academic infrastructure and support services. But because of an increasingly competitive landscape within the student accommodation industry they needed a new approach to customer communication.
We had to identify a new strategic positioning for UPP. The strategy had to capture the essence of the business and drive the brand towards a more emotional connection with its demographics across all media channels.
Whilst maintaining the brand logo, a new brand identity was created. Colour associated brand values would run throughout all communications of the business. Using more contemporary typefaces, brighter colours, considered photography, a consistent grid system and a geographical approach to illustration, a new brand was born.
