UPP latest client, The University of London (UoL) is redeveloping its intercollegiate accommodation in Cartwright Gardens having received planning permission in Summer 2013. The new Garden Halls will provide high quality affordable accommodation to students from across the UK and around the world. As part of the development UoL will refurbish and open up the gardens opposite the halls to the public so that they can be enjoyed by everyone. The halls of residence will become the largest in London whilst restoring the old tower from the previous development.
UPP briefed us to design and create the hoardings design for the development. The design had to incorporate both brand guidelines from UPP and from UoL and clearly state the development intention as well as promote the tennis court refurbishment. The design also had to help revitalise the area as the project intends, whilst fitting into the environment.
