Quorso App UX & UI Design

The Quorso App – agile, simple and human.

When AI surfaces millions of retail decisions, the interface decides whether people act on them.

Quorso helps some of the world’s largest retailers uncover opportunities hidden within vast amounts of operational data. Every day, its AI identifies actions that can improve performance across thousands of stores, but insight only has value if people understand it, trust it and know what to do next.

Following our work on the Quorso rebrand, we were asked to redesign the platform experience. The challenge wasn’t adding more features. It was reducing complexity. Every interaction needed to help busy retail teams move confidently from insight to action.

The heartbeat
Working closely with the product team, we rethought how information was prioritised, grouped and surfaced throughout the platform. Complex datasets became simpler journeys. AI recommendations became clearer actions. Every screen was challenged against one question:

Does this help someone make a better decision, faster?

Navigation was simplified. Dashboards became more focused. Components were refined into a scalable design system that balanced clarity with flexibility, allowing the platform to evolve without losing consistency. Small UX decisions—how information appeared, where actions were placed, how success was measured—collectively transformed the experience into something that felt lighter, faster and more intuitive.

Rather than asking users to learn the platform, the platform learned how people naturally work.

The impact
The redesigned experience established a stronger foundation for Quorso’s future product development, providing a robust UI system that supports continuous feature releases while maintaining consistency across the platform.

More importantly, it reinforced the company’s wider proposition that AI should amplify human expertise, not replace it. By making insights easier to understand and actions easier to take, the platform allows retail teams to spend less time interpreting data and more time improving performance.

Onboarding UX

We created onboarding user-flows to consider the level of early-interaction and skillset for the programme. We wanted to explain things early, as the user interacts with the programme to give a general sense of the platform before getting into more detail as they discovered new features.

The idea was that this in-app training would reduce as the user grows in Quorso experience.

Mission control

Our main focus and the core part of the app was around central tasks and a mission control centre. Organised through a mix of suggestive automation through Quorso’s clever AI as well as manual management task setting, the idea was to send managers on weekly Missions to drive improvement, communication and reporting. By supporting an agile approach to business we were able to support the app’s nimble functionality through simplicity of design and urgency of user requirement. Endless number-crunching and overwhelming effort becoming a thing of the past and store operations becoming agile, simple and human.

Visual storytelling

To help build upon the narrative of Quorso and some form of escapism, we created space themed avatars as well as story based landscapes for achievements throughout the app. The narrative is based on the user’s progression, their experience of the Quorso app as well as their level of interaction with the teams.

By delighting the user and offering instant and rewarding feedback, both from the app and from their colleagues and managers, it allowed us to create a platform that is not only making the running of a business more efficient and simple, it also makes it more fun.
