The Strong Cities Network brings together mayors and city leaders from around the world to tackle rising hate, extremism and polarisation through collaboration, knowledge sharing and local action. Every member faces different challenges, but they all share one belief: lasting change begins within communities.
As the Network continued to grow internationally, its brand and website needed to better reflect that ambition. The challenge was to create an identity that united a diverse global membership while giving cities, partners and policymakers a clearer way to discover resources, share knowledge and celebrate the impact of city-led action.
Heartbeat
No two cities are the same. Different cultures, different challenges and different priorities all shape how communities respond to the issues they face. The identity needed to celebrate that diversity while expressing the collective strength that comes from working together.
The new brand was built around connection. Flexible graphic elements, a more confident visual language and an accessible digital design system created an identity capable of representing cities of every size and every region without losing its own distinct character.
That same thinking shaped the website. Clear user journeys, an enhanced resource hub and dedicated regional content make it easier for members to find practical guidance, share successful initiatives and connect with peers facing similar challenges. The result is a platform that supports collaboration as effectively as it communicates it.
Impact
The refreshed brand has strengthened how the Strong Cities Network presents itself to members, partners and prospective cities around the world, providing a clearer and more consistent identity across communications and digital channels.
The redesigned website has improved access to resources, increased visibility for regional initiatives and created a more intuitive experience for users seeking practical guidance and examples of city-led action. Together, the brand and website provide a stronger platform for collaboration, helping the Network continue its work of empowering cities to build more resilient, inclusive communities.
