The Machinate photographic look books celebrate the collaboration of four different, traditional, craft lead businesses to produce beautiful, tangible, real products for the creative industry and beyond.

Together with James Williamson (photographer), Leycol (Printer) and Tank (Post Production Studio), we have created two books that honours the blood, sweat, ink and tears that are spilt over art forms, so often taken for granted.

Book #1 is a body of work examining the well travelled, hardened men of the Pendine Land Speed Racing Club, their passion for motorbikes and how their personalities intertwine with their machines.

Book #2 is a behind-the-scenes glimpse into a team of expert printers at Leycol, whose tools, craft and relationship with their machines have been honed over the last 40 years.

Both books are litho printed at A1 and A2 sizes on a variety of different GF Smith stocks and finished with a spectacular ‘Electric Blood’ coloured belly band.
